Quilt Shot Block #86 ~ Disappearing Four Patch Variation 2

Disappearing 4 Patch: Variation 2
More experimentation with cutting up a 4 Patch.

Start with a 4 Patch made of 7 inch squares.
On one corner place the 60° line of the ruler along the edge
and 3 inches down from the corner.
No measurement needed for other side of corner.
Use the first corner cut off as a template to double check next corner cuts.
Cut off all corners.
Sew corners back on as shown.
Trim to 12½ inch square.

Using Photoshop Combine Tool, here's a look at possible quilt layouts using this block.
Same block repeated without rotation.

Fun experimenting with rotations to check the star patterns created.
